We generally like to see your exam notes and imaging reports (including MRI and/or X-ray). After receiving your referral, our friendly scheduling team will contact your patient within 24-48 hours and notify you of their upcoming appointment.
What is platelet-rich plasma (PRP)?
Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is a specially concentrated portion of your own blood that contains elevated levels of platelets, which are vital for healing and tissue repair. To create PRP, our medical provider will take a sample of your blood, process it in a centrifuge to isolate the platelets, and then inject it directly into the area in need of healing.

No, we do not act as primary care providers in any capacity. Whether we get a patient referral from a chiropractor, primary care physician, ER doctor or other medical professional, we work collaboratively with the referring provider and their medical team. Generally our treatment plan includes between 3-12 sessions, with regular communication between our doctors and other medical support.
While our business model does not focus on primary care services, we are always interested in hearing from our former patients about their experiences with us!
Do you take medical insurance?
No, we do not take medical insurance—and there is a good reason for this. Using private medical insurance relies on the process of preauthorization and deductibles, this can slow down your treatment process tremendously.
Coast Injury Medicine only accepts third-party insurance payments, MedPay/PIP (“personal injury protection”), and lien payments. (A lien is a legal claim on your personal injury settlement that allows you to access care when you cannot pay upfront after your accident.) We are not equipped to take out-of-pocket payments at this time.
Where will my referral go?
This depends on your patient’s location, the injuries sustained, and the kind of car accident doctor they need. We offer in-person medical care at seven locations across Washington State, well as telehealth appointments.
Which doctor will I see?
Which car accident doctor you see is based on your physical location, symptoms, and medical diagnosis. Our physical exams may be conducted by a doctor or a PA (physician’s assistant). Your physical comfort is our number one priority.

How many times will I need to see a car accident doctor?

Once scheduled, our scheduling team will inform the referring clinic through email. If we’re unable to reach the patient, we will notify the referring chiropractor.
When should chiropractors or other medical providers refer a patient to Coast Injury Medicine?
We encourage you to refer your patients to us as soon as possible so we can assist in their early treatment and care. Studies show that patients receiving multidisciplinary care recover sooner than patients who only see one kind of doctor throughout their treatment and recovery.
Referring your patients to specialty doctors quickly helps them get the right care when they need it most. Certain injuries and conditions are best treated by experts such as orthopedists, neurologists, or pain specialists. Fast action gives patients the best chance to heal and protects their health by catching problems early.
If a medical clinic exhausts their PIP, can we still see them?
Yes, but we do require them to get an attorney.
